Taggart Continues Great Season at AARTFC's

The Pioneers traveled to NYC this weekend to compete in the Atlantic Regionals. Emma Taggart was the lone Pioneer to compete in the first day of action and had a great performance in the Women's Pentathlon.

Taggart finished in 2nd place overall in the Pentathlon with a score of 3228. Taggart's score is a new Alfred State Record and ranks 22nd best in all of the NCAA this season. Taggart's two best events in the Pentathlon were the shot put and the high jump. She placed first in both events with a jump distance of 1.60m and a shot put throw of 10.76m.

The Pioneers continue competition at the Atlantic Regionals tomorrow.
