Bio

Andrea Williamson Joined the coaching staff in 2019 and has been a professor in the Agriculture and Veterinary Technology Department since 2018.

Williamson was a four-year star on the Alfred University volleyball team, playing for Coach Doorley from 1997- 2000. Andrea was pivotal in leading the Saxons to the program's only NCAA appearance in 1999. The team also competed in four state championship tournaments (1997- 2000) and one ECAC championship tournament (2000) during her career.

A team captain as a junior and senior, Williamson was a Second Team Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) all-star as a freshman in 1997, when she ranked ninth in the nation in blocks per game, and a Second Team Empire 8 Conference all-star as a senior in 2000. She holds school career records for total blocks (697), solo blocks (417), kills (1,628) and digs (1,606) and single-season records for kills (482) and digs (552).

Williamson has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Alfred University and a doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University.

Coach Williamson is also a full-time Professor in Agriculture and Veterinary Technology, Teaching Animal Anatomy and Physiology.
