Lohr and Rutledge Lead Pioneers at AU

Ryan Lohr (West Seneca West) and Shawn Rutledge (Watkins Glen) led the Alfred State men's cross country team as they raced to a 3rd place finish at the Alfred University Jericho Hill Showdown. 

Lohr crossed the finish line of the 6k course in 10th place in 20:41.10 while Rutledge finished in 12th in 20:45.30. Matt Connolly (Elmira Notre Dame) was 20th (21:54.50), Austin Demberg (Westtown/Minisink Valley) was 23rd (22:05.60), and Jonathan Palmer (Shawane, WI) was 26th (22:21.30).

Utica won the men's title with a score of 19 followed by St. John Fisher (41) and Alfred State (81). Alfred University was 4th (114) and Elmira was 5th (138). A total of 51 competitors finished the course.

The Pioneers have next weekend off but will return to action on September 22nd at Roberts Wesleyan.
