Delianne and Gartland Win Alfred State Academic Award
Western Equestrian student-athlete Megan Delianne (Lindenhurst/West Islip) and baseball pitcher AJ Gartland (Irondequoit) have been named the recipients of the 2020 Alfred State Academic Award.
The Alfred State Academic Awards honor the male and female athletes who have competed in athletics for at least two years, while achieving the highest overall grade-point average during that time.
Delianne is a two year member of the Western Equestrian team and has a 3.97 GPA in Digital Media & Animation.
Gartland is a three year member of the baseball team. He has a 4.0 GPA in Architecture and is the winner of this award for the second year in a row. Gartland was named AMCC All-Academic and was named recently inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma academic honor society.
