Haines and Leahy Named ASC Athletes of the Week
Karleigh Haines (Jamestown) and Jack Leahy (Pittsford) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Haines had a big night on Friday as the Pioneers swept Penn College. She connected on 15 kills and registered a hitting percentage of .406 on the game. She also had four digs and a service ace.
Leahy led the men's soccer team with five points this past week as the team competed three times. Leahy netted his first goal of his career in a 3-1 victory over Cazenovia on Wednesday and then had two points, a goal and an assist, in a tough 4-3 battle at Pitt Bradford. Leahy registered 10 shots with four of those shots being on goal.
