Nominations Sought for Athletic Department Hall of Fame
The Alfred State athletic department is seeking nominations for the 2022 Athletic Department Hall of Fame. Nominations are due by March, 25 2022.
Coaches, alumni, and former athletes may submit nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame. Criteria for selection shall be based primarily on athletic accomplishment, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and academic standing. Consideration shall be given to the individual's and/or teams' total contribution to the team or teams on which he/she played while attending Alfred State College. Former Pioneers eligibility to appear on the ballot shall not begin until five years after the athlete or team has ended athletic competition.
Non-athlete candidates are required to be affiliated with the Athletic Department for at least five years to be eligible.

Each year an 11-member committee meets and reviews the nominations. To be selected, a nominee must receive a majority of votes from the 11-person Hall of Fame Committee. A Hall of Fame class will consist of no more than five student athletes, two contributors and one team.
The 2022 Hall of Fame ceremony is being planned for June 18, 2022.
