AMCC Announces Winter Sportsmanship Teams
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference has announced the Winter 2021-22 Sportsmanship Teams. One athlete from each team has been selected for this honor.
The AMCC Sportsmanship teams are made up of one athlete per team. They are voted by their team based on displaying good sportsmanship throughout the season. According to the AMCC, "The student-athletes selected must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect, and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and fans. He/She must also serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events."
The Pioneers selected for the sportsmanship teams are:
Gretchen Hendrickson (Canisteo Greenwood) – Women's Basketball
Alina Kisluk (Hamburg) - Women's Swimming and Diving
Josh Reding (Rochester/Spencerport) – Men's Basketball
Austin Miller (Hornell) – Men's Swimming and Diving
