Perlino and Serce Named ASC Athletes of the Week

Dylan Perlino (Holland) from men's track and field and Nick Serce (Irondequoit) from baseball have been named the ASC Athletes of the week.

Perlino was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Perlino won discus with a throw of 48.53m (159-2) at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational and is currently ranked 6th in NCAA DIII for discus.

He broke his own hammer throw record for the second time this season after throwing  51.76m (169-10) to place 3rd and break his own program record he originally set at the end of the 2021 season and reset last week.

He is currently ranked 16th in NCAA DIII for hammer.

He finished 15th in shot put with 11.84m (38-10 ¼).

Serce was named the AMCC Player of the Week.

Serce was a key part in the Alfred State baseball team's 3-0 week, including two conference wins, to keep their win streak alive.

In three games, Serce recorded five hits, three runs, four RBIs and a .455 batting average.

In the Pioneers' 13-9 win over RIT, Serce picked up his first win of the season after pitching five innings and only allowing four hits and two runs, while walking five and striking out six.

He also recorded one hit, one run and was walked once at the plate.

To open up conference play, Serce went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in their 5-2 win over Pitt. Greensburg.

In their second game against the Bobcats, Serce went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and another home run.
