Pioneers Predicted 2nd in AMCC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

The Alfred State baseball team has been predicted to finish second in the AMCC Pre-Season Coaches poll.

Penn State Behrend has been selected by league coaches to defend their 2021 AMCC baseball title and finish atop conference standings in 2022. La Roche University and Mount Aloysius College are tied for the third spot.

The Pioneers finished the season 18-23 overall last year and 10-6 in the conference. They finished fourth in the AMCC and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament.

The 2022 AMCC tournament will begin with a play-in game on Tuesday, May 3, with first round games taking place on Saturday, May 7. The AMCC Championship series is slated for May 12-14 at the site of the highest remaining seed. The winner will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
