Avallone Tabbed AMCC Baseball Player of the Week for Second Time
Matteo Avallone (Mahopac/Bridgton Academy) has been named the AMCC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Avallone was a vital part in all three wins for the Pioneers last week. He recorded a .636 batting average, 1.182 slugging percentage and hit his seventh home run of the season, which he leads the conference in. He also leads the AMCC in RBIs with 23 and is tied for second in batting average with .457.
In their 12-2 win over Houghton, Avallone was walked four times, had one run and one RBI.
In their 6-2 win over RIT, he went 3-for-5 including a two-run homer.
The very next day he went 4-for-5 with another two-run homer.
