Bio

Jake Kenney joined the Alfred State baseball program in the summer of 2023.

 
Kenney joins the Pioneers after spending the 2022 season as an assistant at Houghton University where the Highlanders finished 3rd in the Empire 8 Conference. Prior to joining Houghton, Kenney spent two years as the head coach at Hornell High School where his teams won two league titles and made one sectional finals appearance.
 
During the summer, Kenney has spent 4 seasons with the Hornell Dodgers/Steamers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) as both a head coach and assistant coach. He also spent 3 summers as the head coach for the Southern Tier Power travel organization.
 
Kenney played collegiately at SUNY Brockport and Genesee Community College. At Brockport he started 40 games and batted .326. He played summer collegiate baseball for three seasons with the Hornell Dodgers who's 2014 championship team finished with a league record 44 wins.
 
Kenney holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from SUNY Brockport and a master's degree in health/physical education from Emporia State University.
