Williams and Phalen Honored by USCAA

Rasheed Williams (Swedesboro, NJ) and Keegan Phalen (East Aurora) have been honored by the USCAA following Alfred State's 55-41 victory over the Apprentice School.  Williams was named offensive player of the week while Phalen was named defensive player of the week.

Williams broke the school record for rushing yards with 335 on 36 attempts (also a school record) for an average of 9.3 yards per carry. Williams also tied the school record for rushing touchdowns in a game with 3.

Phalen had a strong overall performance on Saturday.  On defense, the junior recorded 10 tackles (6 solo, 4 assisted), had 2 interceptions, and blocked a punt.  To go along with his stellar defense, Phalen also converted on 7 of his 8 PAT's.

Phalen was honored by the USCAA earlier in the season as the special teams player of the week following the Ohio Northern contest.
