Paris Jamison (Brooklyn/East Side Community) and Tavion Williams (Bronx/FDA) scored in double digit figures in the Alfred State College Pioneers men's basketball 100-80 loss to the Hilbert College Hawks Saturday evening inside Orvis Gymnasium.
The Pioneers are now 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the AMCC while the Hawks move to 4-6 and 1-3 in the conference. Alfred State was out-rebounded 53-37 by Hilbert, shot 70.4% in free throws and recorded 23 assists.
Jamison led the team with 16 points and had three assists. Williams recorded 15 points and had four blocks. Josh Romero (Bronx/Theodore Roosevelt) added nine points with six assists and three steals. Basheem Wilkerson (Brooklyn/John Jay) had a team-high six rebounds and added seven points.
Hilbert led 48-29 at halftime but only out-scored the Pioneers by one point in the second half, 52-51.
Alfred State is back in action Wednesday, Dec. 29 to play at Utica at 4 p.m.
