Reding, Wilkerson and Jamison Score in Double Figures in Pitt. Greensburg Loss

Josh Reding (Spencerport), Basheem Wilkerson (Brooklyn/John Jay) and Paris Jamison (Brooklyn/East Side Community) scored in double digits in the Alfred State College Pioneers men's basketball teams 75-70 loss to the Pitt. Greensburg Bobcats Saturday evening inside Orvis Gymnasium.

The Pioneers move to 6-9 overall and 2-5 in the AMCC while the Bobcats improve to 5-8 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Alfred State shot 43.8% in field goals, picked up 31 rebounds and had 18 assists. Pitt. Greensburg recorded 44.6% in field goals, 48 rebounds and 15 assists.

Reding led the team with 17 points, had four rebounds and six assists. Wilkerson added 12 points along with a team-high of six rebounds and Jamison chipped in 12 points. Donte Jones (Brooklyn/ Brooklyn Collegiate) had eight points and three rebounds while Ryan Rosa (Middletown) had seven points and three rebounds.

The lead changed six times and the game was tied three time. Alfred State took their largest advantage of six points four minutes into the game and held the lead until 7:41 remaining in the first half.

Pitt. Greensburg took their largest lead of 10-points with 2:31 left in the first half and headed into halftime up 39-37.

The Bobcats outscored the Pioneers 36-33 in the second half to take the five-point win.

Alfred State is back in action Wednesday, Jan. 19 to play at Penn State-Behrend in a conference game at 7:30.
