Sarbudak's Hat Trick Leads Pioneers In Win Over Cobleskill

Alfred, NY- ASC makes it four straight shutouts to open the season 4-0. Nuri Sarbudak notched his first hat trick of the season.

Sarbudak (Intanbul, Turkey) tallied three goals, while Ali Mata-Ruiz (Westbury, NY) netted a goal and an assist. Jackson Powers (Syracuse, NY) and Eric Spring (Allegany, NY) both tallied a goal apiece. Brayden Fox (Homor, NY) played all 90 minutes in goal and saved all three of Cobleskills shots.

Powers got the game going with a goal in the 12th minute, for the 1-0 lead. Later in the 16th minute Mata-Ruiz made in a 2-nil game. A few minutes later, Sarbudak netted his first goal of the game off a pass from Josh Price to make it a 3-0 game.  Spring scored the Pioneers fourth goal of the half in the 43rd minute.

Sarbudak got the second half going, as he scored an amazing goal from the corner for the 5-0 lead. A few minutes later, Sarbudak netted his third goal of the game off a pass from Mata-Ruiz to make it a 6-0 game.

ASC took their foot off the gas and focused on controlling the tempo and possession. The Pioneers controlled the only allowing two Cobleskill shots early in the second half as they went on the win 6-0.
