Taggart, Mucher, Popoff, Gartland, and Yates Earn ASC Academic Award

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD), Riley Mucher (Warsaw), Isabelle Popoff (Cicero North Syracuse), AJ Gartland (Irondequoit), and Stuart Yates (Naples) were recently named the 2021 Alfred State Academic Award winners. The quintet was honored at a ceremony held in the Cappadonia Auditorium.
Pioneers Win Six Events in Season Finale

The Alfred State men's swimming team won six events as they wrapped up the 2021 COVID season with a home meet vs. Penn State Altoona.
85 Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-Conference Team

85 Alfred State student-athletes have been named to the AMCC Academic All-Conference team. 34.84% of the athletes that participate in AMCC sports at Alfred State were honored.
Pioneers Down Roberts Weselyan in the Pool

The Alfred State swimming team competed in their home pool for the first time and earned a 145-38 victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The blue & gold won 9 of the 12 events competed.
Pioneers Dive into Season at Niagara University

Chancellor Malatras Announces Alfred State Approved to Resume Spring Intercollegiate Athletic Competition

State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras today announced that six SUNY colleges across three more athletic conferences have been cleared to safely resume low, moderate, and limited approved high-risk intercollegiate sports this spring. Chancellor Malatras made the announcement during a visit to SUNY Morrisville, where he met with student-athletes about the outlook for spring. The approval will allow more than 1,400 student-athletes from the following colleges to compete:
4th Pioneer Pride Day Deemed a Success

The Alfred State athletic department staff and two dozen student-athletes spent Wednesday (8/19) morning participating in the department's annual Pioneer Pride Day. This is the 4th straight year that various jobs around athletic facilities were accomplished prior to the start of the new school year.
