Pioneers Sit In Second Going Into Day Two
Erie, PA- The Alfred State men's track and field team ended day one of the United East Conference Championship meet in second with a total of 27 points.
Greg Raymond tallied a third-place finish in the discus throw after a best throw of 39.66 meter. Brandon Russell came in fifth with a best throw of 38.96 meters. Then in the hammer throw, Raymond came in second with a best throw of 45.36 meters, followed by Tyler Lantrip in third with best throw of 42.37, and Jairo Agosto in fourth with a best throw of 40.69. Russell would take fifth after a best throw of 39.21.
In the long jump, Isaac Rivet and Aden Alexander finished in third and fourth respectively. Rivet had a best jump of 6.29 meters, while Alexander jumped 6.28 meters.
Maxwell Chiarella came in seventh in the 3000 meter steeplechase after running an 11:11.79.
