ASC Came In Second At The Conference Meet

Erie, PA- The Alfred State men's track and field team finished the United East Conference Championship meet in second place with a total of 119 points.

 

Derek Walter won the 400-meter hurdles after running a 58.23.

 

Aden Alexander tallied a third-place finish in the triple jump after jumping 12.85 meters, Isaac Rivet followed with a sixth-place finish with a best jump of 11.88 meters.

 

Then in the Javelin throw, the Pioneers had four finish in the top eight. Kyle Kapichok notched a fourth-place finish after throwing 44.51 meters, followed by Derek Walter in fifth place (42.29 meter), then Davyn Gulbrandsen in seventh (40.69 meters), and Brandon Russell in eighth (40.37 meters).

 

In the 400-meter dash, Brian Clark finished in third after running a 51.41, and Connor Schreiber ran a 53.60 for eighth.

 

Mamadou Barry notched a second-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.61, followed by Eddie Scroxton in fourth with a time of 2:00.86

 

Nicholas Florczak ran a 22.96 200-meter dash for seventh place. Then he tallied a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.32.

 

In the 4x100 relay, the team of Florczak, Rivet, Alexander, and Walter came in fifth with a time of 44.41. Then in the 4x400 the team of Walter, Clark, Barry, and Scroxton came in second with a time of 3:27.23.

 

Greg Raymond moved into eighth all time in the hammer throw yesterday as well.

PSU-Behrend finished first, Gallaudet came in third, St. Marys in fourth, PSU-Harrisburg in fifth, Lancaster Bible in sixth, Hilbert in seventh, PSU-Abington in eighth, and St. Elizabeth in ninth.
