Wonica Earns AMCC Player of the Week

Kailey Wonica (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) has been named the AMCC Player of the Week for softball.

In her first 10 games of the season Wonica recorded a .519 batting average and .667 slugging percentage. She went 14-for-27 with 11 RBIs, 2 doubles and 1 triple and had 18 total bases.

Wonica went 2-for-3 with 1 RBI against Skidmore and 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs against Delhi.

Against Brockport she went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs. With bases loaded she hit a two-run single up the middle to tie the game and force extra innings. The Pioneers came back and won 11-10.

In their 6-5 win over Maine-Presque Isle she went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs including a two-run double and a triple.

She went 1-for-3 with 1 run vs Skidmore, 2-for-3 with 1 run vs Western Conn. State and 1-for-2 with 1 RBI vs Oneonta.
