Chambers Adds ECAC Honor

Desmond Chambers (Gates Chili) has added a third honor following a stellar performance at the RIT Invitational last weekend.  Chambers becomes the 2nd Pioneer to ever be honored with an ECAC Athlete of the Week honor.

Chambers won the long jump competition with a leap of 7.14 m (23'5.25") and was part of the Pioneers 3rd place 4x200 relay team.  His performance in the long jump catapulted him to the top of the ECAC rankings and 2nd in Division III of the NCAA.

Earlier in the week, Chambers was named the NYSCTC and Alfred State athlete of the week. Chambers and football player Rasheed Williams have been honored thus far by the ECAC.

Chambers, an NJCAA All-American last season, and the Pioneers return to action tomorrow at Hamilton.
