Men's Indoor Track Ranked 18th in Atlantic Region
The Alfred State men's indoor track & field team is currently ranked 18th out of 31 team in the Atlantic Region in the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association latest rankings.
The Pioneer men have three athletes ranked in the top eight in the region. Desmond Chambers (Rochester/Gates Chili) is ranked 3rd in the long jump (7.14 m.), Josiah Thomas (Rochester/John Marshall) is ranked 7th in the triple jump (14.22 m), and Jordan Friedman (Clarkstown South) is 7th in the pole vault (4.40 m).
The blue & gold in their first year of NCAA DIII cometition will compete in the NYS Championships this weekend at St. Lawrence University. Events begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and conclude on Saturday afternoon.
