The Alfred State Women's Basketball team fell today to conference rival Mt. Aloysius 69-38. The Pioneers fell behind early and never gained momentum to complete a comeback effort.
Mt. Aloysius outscored the Pioneers 41-14 in the first half and shot 45.5% from the field for the entire game. The Pioneers shot 23.6% from the field on 13-55 shooting to the Mounties 25-55 shooting day.
The Pioneers didn't have any scorers in double-digits but had points from the entire starting five. Faith McCombs (Amityville, NY / Copaigue) had 7 points on 3-7 shooting and tallied 8 rebounds on the day.
The Pioneers are back in action when they head to Penn.- St. Behrend for a conference match-up. The game is set for Wednesday, February 15, at 7 p.m.
