Pioneer Compete at NYS Championships

The Alfred State wrestling team was one of 19 teams that competed at the annual New York State Championships.  The Pioneers finished 17th in the competition.

Conner Fox (Midlakes) was the lone Pioneer to earn a victory in the A bracket competition.  He pinned Cedrick Stevenson (Niagara CCC) in 59 seconds in his opening match in the 184 lb. competition.  He fell to eventual champion Gabriel Dean in the quarterfinals to drop into the consolation bracket.

The Pioneers scored 4 team points in the competition which was won by Cornell with 207.
