Eight Pioneers Earn NWCA Scholar All-American Honors

Eight members of the Alfred State wrestling team have earned National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) 2021 Scholar All-American honors. The eight Pioneers are part of 413 student-athletes honored in NCAA DIII by the NWCA.
Seven Pioneers Earn ECWC Academic Honors

Seven members of the Alfred State wrestling team have been named to the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) All-Academic Team. The conference honored 94 wrestlers in this season’s release, marking the third consecutive year that the All-Academic Team topped the 50-mark, and nearly doubling last year’s honorees with the addition of Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Behrend.
Match vs. New Jersey City Postponed

The wrestling match between Alfred State and New Jersey City University scheduled for Saturday, March 6th has been postponed. The match most likely will not be made up.

Signorelli Selected to NWCA Ranking Committee

Alfred State second year head coach Justin Signorelli has been named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) DIII Men's Ranking Committee. He is one of two members of the Mideast Region.
Wrestling Team Cleans up Community

At the end of the first week of classes at the Alfred State wrestling team spent Saturday morning working on a community clean up project.
4th Pioneer Pride Day Deemed a Success

The Alfred State athletic department staff and two dozen student-athletes spent Wednesday (8/19) morning participating in the department's annual Pioneer Pride Day. This is the 4th straight year that various jobs around athletic facilities were accomplished prior to the start of the new school year.
Signorelli Announces 2020 Recruiting Class

Second year head wrestling coach Justin Signorelli is pleased to announce his first recruiting class at Alfred State. His 2020 incoming class includes 27 new faces with representatives from Section 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, the PSAL, CHSAA, and Connecticut.
