Smith Named ECWC Rookie of the Week
Justin Smith (Marcus Whitman) has been named the ECWC Co-Rookie of the Week. He shares the honor with Josh Harkless from RIT.
Smith was 4-0 as the Alfred State wrestling team went 3-2 in the Electric City Duals hosted by Scranton. He pinned Ryan Meisner (Oneonta) and Daniel Kosinki (Scranton) and defeated CJ Riccobono (Keystone) 8-2 to highlight his day. His other victory was via forfeit vs. Lackawanna.
Tyler Brazinski (Oneonta) and Christopher Horton (RIT) were named co-Wrestlers of the Week by the ECWC.
The Pioneers head to the NYS Championships this weeekend at SUNY Cortland.
