Alfred State and Penn College Battle to a Tie

Alfred State and Penn College played 110 minutes and settled for a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Pioneers are now 8-2-1 on the year while the Lady Wildcats are 7-4-1.

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) got the Lady Pioneers on the board just 5:06 into the game when she scored her team leading 16th goal on the year.  Keri Teufel (Sachem) was credited with the assist.

Robin Beddow tied the game up 12 minutes later for the Lady Wildcats.

Neither team could find the back of the net the rest of the way.  Alfred held a 39 to 15 shot advantage (18 to 6 shots on goal) but could never get the game-winner.

Krista DeCarlo (West Islip) made five saves for the blue & gold while Collen Bowes made 17 for Penn College.

Alfred State, ranked #5 in the USCAA, continues their weekend road trip on Sunday with a 1 p.m. contest at NCAA DII Clarion.
