2nd Half Goal Lifts Penn College

2nd Half Goal Lifts Penn College

Penn College scored an early goal in the 2nd half as they were able to earn a 1-0 victory over Alfred State in the rain on Wednesday night.

After a scoreless 1st half, Kaelyn Sheetz scored after getting a crossing pass from Kristina Mease just under six minutes into the 2nd half. Alfred State had chances late in the contest but Nicole Lichtinger made a couple of fine stops to preserve the lead for the Wildcats.

Penn College held a 12 to 7 shot advantage the game. Lichtinger made six saves for the shutout while Sierra Schofield (Delran, NJ) made fives saves in net for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers return to AMCC play this weekend when they travel to Penn State Altoona for a 2 p.m. contest.
