LaRue and Lewis are Triple Winners as Pioneers Win at ECC

Jessie LaRue (Livonia) and Kathryn Lewis (Niagara Wheatfield) were each triple individual winners as the Alfred State women's swimming and diving team won the Erie CC Long Course Invitational on Saturday.

LaRue won the 100 back 1:18.43, the 200 back in 2:50.14, and the 200 IM in 2:48.82 while Lewis won the 1650 free in 20:49.96, the 100 free in 1:07.18, and the 400 free in 5:04.87

Elizabeth Drake (Lansing) won the 50 free (31.88) while Elizabeth Jurs (Elba) was 2nd (34.52). Elizabeth Furmanski (Albion) also picked up an individual victory with a win in the 100 fly in 1:29.85

Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) was 3rd in the 1m diving competition (291.35) while Rebecca Stevens (Wellsvilel) was 4th (276.50). Sarah Stevens was also 3rd in the 3m competition with 150.30 points.

The 400 free relay team of Lewis, Sarah Stevens, Drake, and LaRue capped the day and the team victory with a win in a 4:39.79.

Alfred State scored 813 points followed by Roberts Wesleyan (589), Erie CC (250), Herkimer CCC (80), and Buffalo State (68).

The Pioneers head to Franciscan on Wednesday for a AMCC meet with the Barons. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
