Pioneer Tallied Eight Top-10 Finishes

Selinsgrove, PA- Alfred State women's track and field notched eight top-10 finishes at the Jim Taylor Invite.

Madison Snayczuk started the with a 10th place finish in the 100-meter dash after running a 13.91. Then in the 400-meter run, two Pioneers finished in the top 10. Adriana Gill came in sixth with a time of 1:07.69, followed by Izzy Popoff in eighth with a time of 1:08.73. Popoff would also finish ninth in the 1500 meter run after running a 5:12.60.

Looking at the field events, Laura Walter notched a fifth-place finish in the pole vault with a best jump of 2.75 meters. With that height she moved into fourth all time in Pioneers history. Snayczuk would come in fourth in the long jump after a best jump of 4.86 meters.

Jileena Stearns came in eighth in the shot put after throwing 8.84 meters. Then Mackenzie Gillette came in eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 34.46 meters, also moved into the top-10 in program history with that distance.
