Volleyball Downs Penn College

For the second time in four days, the Alfred State volleyball team swept Penn College. The Pioneers improved to 6-1 on the year with a 25-16, 25-8, 25-6 victory.

The blue & gold came out firing on all cylinders as they recorded a .368 hitting percentage and collected 14 service aces.

Karleigh Haines (Jamestown) led the way with nine kills (.467) and nine digs while Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) finished with eight kills (.462) and eight digs. Keturah Gregory (Largo, MD) finished with six kills (.545) while Racquel Gertsenberger (Schoharie), Alyssa Martin (Portville), and Faith McCombs (Amityville/Copaigue) all had four kills. Nicolina Sottile (Lindenhurst) served 17 times in the 3rd set and finished with five aces and 13 assists. 

Alfred State opens up AMCC play on Saturday when they host Penn State Altoona.
