Alfred State to Host ECAC Championships

The Alfred State volleyball team will host the 2021 ECAC Championships this weekend. The semifinals will be held at the Orvis Activities Center on Friday (11/12) and the finals will be held on Saturday (11/13).

The Pioneers are the #4 seed and will take on #1 Kean in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. That match will be followed by #2 Hunter taking on #3 Rutgers Camden at 7 p.m. The two semifinal wnners will meet on Saturday to determine the 2021 champion.

The Pioneers are currently 18-3 on the year and finished the regular season as the AMCC runner-up. This will be the first postseason tournament that Alfred State has played in since the 2016 season when the team played in the USCAA Championships. This is the third time ASC has played in the ECAC Championships since the college moved to NCAA competition. 

Kean enters the championship with a 16-12 record, Hunter is 13-13, and Rutgers Camden is 20-9.
