Gregory, Ferrer, and Perkins Named All-AMCC

Keturah Gregory (Laurel, MD), Nayomie Ferrer (Eastridge), and Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) have been named All-AMCC. The trio helped Alfred State to a runner-up finish in the regular season standings and in the AMCC Tournament.

Gregory was a 1st team selection after starting in all 21 games. She has recorded 143 kills and has a .482 hitting percentage. Her hitting percentage is tops in NCAA DIII. In three matches, Gregory had more than 10 kills including a season high 12 kills in a victory over Pitt-Bradford. In 11 matches, she had seven or more kills. Gregory also has 51 blocks, 22 digs, and 20 aces on the year. 

Ferrer, another 1st team selection, started at setter in all 21 games. She has passed out 559 assists (9.47 per set). She handed out at least 10 assists in 20 games and had more than 20 assists in 16 games. Versus Mt. Aloysius she recorded a season best 44 assists. In other statistical categories, Ferrer has 154 digs, 58 kills, and 48 service aces.

Perkins was named to the 2nd team as she wraps up her career at Alfred State. She started in all 21 matches and had a solid all-around season. She led the team with 174 kills, 163 digs, and 54 service aces. Perkins had at least 10 kills in six matches with a season best 16 in a victory over Mt. Aloysius. In eight matches, she had more than 10 digs with a season best 14 in the AMCC victory over Pitt Greensburg. On the season she recorded three double-doubles. On the NCAA DIII leaderboard, she is 7th with 0.84 aces per set.

The Pioneers are currently 18-3 and will host the ECAC Championships this weekend. They take on Kean (NJ) in the semifinals at 5 p.m.
