Pioneer Volleyball Has Three Take Home All-Conference Honors

Alfred, NY- Alfred State Volleyball garnered three All-Conference honorees as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning, after their season came to a close Sunday in the AMCC Finals.

Racquel Gerstenberger earned first-team honors as she played in all 27 matches this season. The junior led the team in kills with 366 while averaging 3.70 kills per set. The Schoharie, NY native also had 311 digs, 63 aces, 18 assists, and nine blocks. She also tallied 14 double-doubles this year and had 12 games where she put in 15 or more kills.

Nayomie Ferrer Santiago also earned first-team honors. The junior lead the team with 883 assists at an 8.92 assists per set clip. Santiago also led the team in aces with 88. The San Juan, PR native also added 347 digs, and 65 kills. She notched 16 double-doubles, while setting a new career-high in assists with 50 in the game against Penn State Altoona.

The freshman Erin Gregoire was the final Pioneer on the list as she garnered third-team honors. The Baldwinsville, NY native tallied 180 kills with having the best hitting percentage on the team at .285. She also led the team in blocks with 35 and 21 of them were solo blocks.
