Swimming Pool

Located inside the Orvis Activities Center, the six lane pool is home to the Pioneer swimming team.

In the past year, numerous improvements have been made to the Alfred State swimming pool. A new timing system and scoreboard were installed last spring after the conclusion of the season. The timing system feeds information directly to the scoreboard allowing swimmers and spectators instant feedback on the race. The scoreboard also has the capability to play videos and movies.

The pool also features new lighting and a fresh coat of paint on the walls and bleachers. These improvements have made the facility much brighter. Electrical work, tile work, and sound tile work has also been done in the facility.
