Pioneers Claim Sixth Shutout Of The Season Against Hawks

Hamburg, NY- Four Pioneers net goals as ASC tallies their sixth shutout of the year against the Hawks. Alfred took the match 4-0 to move to 10-2 on the season and 3-1 against conference foes.

The Pioneer goal scorers were Jackson Powers, Nuri Sarbudak, Garrett Potts, and Matthew Zwirblis. Brayden Fox saw four shots on goal and saved all four.

Sarbudak got the Pio's on the board first with a goal in the 25th minute off a pass from Potts.

A few minutes later, Alfred would make it a 3-0 lead after scoring back-to-back goals in the 31st minute. Potts scored the first goal and Powers followed with a goal of his own 30 seconds later. Josh Price got credited the assist on Potts goal.

Later in the second half, Zwirblis left no doubt with a goal in the 81st minute to extend the lead to 4-0. Andres Mateos got the assist on that goal.
