In their first action of 2015 Alfred State lost a heartbreaking 69-67 overtime contest to SUNY POLY.

Alfred State led by as many as 12 in the 1st half and held a 30-26 lead at halftime. The Lady Pioneers held a 56-49 lead with just over four minutes remaining when the Wildcats started to chip away. SUNY POLY got a layup from Geena Gallo with 26 seconds left to give them their first lead 61-60. After a foul shot made it 62-60, Jennifer Fedrick (Buffalo/Bennett) made a lay-up to tie the game for the Lady Pioneers and send the contest into an extra frame.

The Wildcats went on a 6-0 run to grab the lead in overtime but had to hold on for the victory. Alfred State's Kimberly Levee (Dansville) hit two shots in the final 1:35 to cut it 69-67 but the Lady Pioneers last second efforts could not get the game tying shot off before the horn sounded.
