Nixon and Cuomo Earns ECFC Player of the Week Honors

Killingworth, CT- Two Pioneer Football players garner ECFC Player of the Week honors. Jeremiah Nixon took home Defensive Player of the Week, while Nicholas Cuomo earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Defensive Player of the Week

Senior Jeremiah Nixon earns DPOTW for the first time this season in the 48-7 win over Hilbert. Nixon tied his season-high in tackles with 11, while registering his first career interception. Looking at his 11 tackles, six of them were solo tackles.

Rookie of the Week

Freshman Nicholas Cuomo takes home his first career POTW honors. Cuomo got his number called five times and made the most of it tallying 51 yards including a 31-yard touchdown run. That was his first collegiate touchdown. He averaged 10.2 yards per carry as well.
