Miller Sets New Diving Records as Pioneers Split at Naz

Austin Miller (Hornell) established new school records on both diving boards as Alfred State split a tri-match at Nazareth. They defeated Utica 146-56 but fell 142-92 to the hosts in the short course meter format meet.

Miller set a new school record on the 1m diving board by finishing 2nd with 267.35 points and on the 3m board with a 4th place finish with 198.40 points.

Matt Walker (Kenmore West) won the 800 freestyle in 9:11.69, 200 IM in 2:18.04, and the 100 breast in 1:08.58 while Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) won the 200 free in 2:01.50 and the 100 free in 55.77. He was also 2nd in the 100 back (1:12.85).

Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) was 2nd in in the 200 IM (2:21.43), Stuart Yates (Naples) was 2nd in the 100 breast (1:11.14) and 3rd in the 50 free (26.12), Anthony Kahwaty (Jefferson Township, NJ) was 3rd in the 800 free (9:52.60), and Nate Miller (Gananda) was 3rd in the 100 fly (1:02.62)

The men's 800 free relay team of Dale, Austin Eckrich (Churchville Chili), Kahwaty, and Alexander Semchenko (Fulton) was 2nd (8:55.54) while the 400 free relay team of Eckrich, Semchencko, Yates, and Aaron Priel (Pioneer) was 2nd (4:03.83).

The blue & gold host the Pioneer Invitational next Saturday.
