Pioneer Split at Nazareth

The Alfred State women's swimming and diving team split a double-dual meet at Nazareth on Saturday. They defeated Utica 125-64 but fell 181-43 to Nazareth in the short course meter format meet.

Alina Kisluk (Hamburg) won the 800 free in 9:11.69 and was 3rd in the 100 free (1:09.62) to lead the way while Mikaela Snayczuk (Pioneer) was 3rd in the 200 free (2:24.43), 3rd in the 100 breast (1:24.96), and 4th in the 100 fly (1:15.11).

The 400 free relay team of Veronica Boller (Iroquois), Elizabeth Jurs (Elba), Kisluk, and Hannah Snayczuk (Pioneer) was 2dn in 4:11.16 while the 200 medley relay team of Payton Armstrong (Monroe Woodbury), Boller,  Jurs, and Rebecca Stevens was 3rd in 2:26.38.

Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) was 3rd in the 1m diving competition with a score of 163.75 while Rebecca Stevens (Wellsville) was 4th (152.75), and Leaha Langerman (Wayland Cohocton) was 5th (145.95). Langerman was also 3rd in the 3m event with 163.65 points.

Alfred State hosts the Pioneer Invitational next Saturday. Action is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
