Pioneers Wrap Up Season at Mideast Regionals

The Alfred State women's cross country team wrapped up the 2019 season with a 45th place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals in Bethlehem, PA. 349 athletes from 54 different institutions competed on the 6k course at Lehigh University.

Caitlin Caltagirone (Holland) led the women's contingent in the race with a 187th place finish. She crossed the finish line in 25:22.2. Katie Watkins (Addison) was 282nd (27:53.9), Sarah Rivet (Waterford/Shenendehowa) was 283rd (27:59.6), Kate Frascella (Franklinville) was 301st (28:54.1), and Betsy Butlak (Angola/Lake Shore) was 332nd (32:16.2). 

Johns Hopkins took home the team title with a score of 88.

The Pioneers were competing at the NCAA level for the second straight season
