Men’s Track and Field competes at Utica Classic
The Alfred State men's track and field team had nine top-ten finishes at the Utica Holiday Classic on Saturday and scored 31 points.
Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) finished second in the 5000-meters in 16:02.55 and was seventh in the 3000-meters in 9:19.24.
Derek Walter (Lancaster) placed third in the 300-meters with a time of 38.11 seconds.
Jesse Johnson (Horseheads) took third in the high jump with a mark of 1.83 meters (6 ft).
Brian Clark (Bethpage) was sixth in the 600-meters in 1:30.34.
Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville) placed seventh in long jump with a mark of 6.50 meters (21 ft 4 in).
Dylan Perlino (Holland) took seventh in weight throw with 13.49 meters (44 ft 3 ¼ in) and ninth in shot put with 12.43 meters (40 ft 9 ½ in).
Ethan Kuhn was tenth in the 300-meters with a time of 41.03.
The Pioneers will be back to compete on Saturday, Jan. 22 when they head to Brockport.
