Alfred, NY- Pioneers dropped hard fought match against Elmira College 1-0. A-State is now 1-2-1 on the season.
Sierra Schofield (Delran, NJ) tallied four saves on the day. Madigan Harris (Friendship, NY), Karlee Hargather (Hilton, NY), and Allison Lundmark (Lakewood, NY) all had a shot on goal but could not find the net.
In a battle of the midfield type of game, Elmira broke through the Pioneers defense and scored the game's only goal in the 87th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Head Coach Anne Holmok said, "I was really happy with the effort, but we didn't do some of the simple things today. Once we do the simple things we'll start scoring."
