200 Medley Relay Sets New School Record

The Alfred State women's swimming & diving team set a new school record in the 200 medley to highlight day two of the Oberlin Invitational.

The 200 medley relay team of Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), and Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame) finished in 4th overall in a time of 1:53.55. The same quartet also was 5th in the 800 free relay (8:29.09)

Mikaela Snayczuk had the top individual finish. She was 2nd in the 100 breast in 1:09.48.

James was 8th in the 100 back (1:03.35), Madison Snayczuk was 10th in the 200 free (2:03.52), and Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) was 14th in the 100 breast (1:17.59).

On the 3m board, Sarah Streeter (Byron Bergen) was 4th with 245.05 points.

Alfred State has 369 points after two days.

The final day starts with prelims at 9 a.m., diving at 1 p.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
