McMinnville, OR- The Alfred State baseball team fell in today's matchup against Whitman 6-1. The Pioneers fall to 4-11 on the season.
Ryan Bailey pitched a complete game, while tallying nine strikeouts. Tyler Petery went 2-4 with solo home run, while Joseph Schatz went 2-3.
Alfred State got on the board first in their first at-bat. Petery led off with a solo blast clear over the right center fence for the 1-0 lead.
Whitman would hold off the Pioneers there and go on to get the win.
