Morgan Franklin (Wellsville) was 3 for 5 as Alfred State battled Elmira on the road on Thursday. The Soaring Eagles took both games of the doubleheader, 8-0 and 10-0.
Pioneers Can't Solve Highlanders

The Alfred State softball team fell in a pair of contests at Houghton on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers fell 9-1 and 8-0 to the Highlanders.
Parente and Leonard Earn ACAA Academic Honors

Jamie Parente (Mount Sinai) has been named to the 2017-18 Academic All-American Collegiate Athletic Association softball team. Jordan Leonard was named to the honor roll.
Softball Battles Allegheny

The Alfred State softball team got back on the field for the time in over a week at Allegheny College. The Gators put together a pair of big innings early to take the opener 17-3 and then won a pitcher's duel 2-0.

Pioneers Battle Cazenovia Tough in Home Opener

The Alfred State softball team battled Cazenovia tough as they finally were able to open the home portion of their season. The Wildcats took the opener 10-5 and used a four run 6th inning to win 9-6 in the nightcap.

Pioneers Collect Eight Hits in Nightcap

The Alfred State softball team collected eight hits in the nightcap of their doubleheader at Keuka on Tuesday but were unable to plate runs as the Wolves completed the sweep. Keuka earned 11-1 and 8-0 victories.
Softball Team Returns to Action

The Alfred State softball team returned to action after a 16-day break and played their first games up North. Pitt Bradford earned a 16-2 win the opener and a 9-1 victory in the nightcap.
