Plesums 3rd at Houghton Pentathlon
Carisa Plesums (Warsaw) was 3rd in the pentathlon at the Houghton Highlander Open on Friday evening. Her score of 1,936 is 9th all time in Alfred State history.
Plesums ran the 60 hurdles in 11.83 (408 points), won the high jump with a leap of 1.45 m (566 points), threw the shot put 7.40 m (361 points), registered a jump of 4.41 m in the long jump (406), and ran the 800 in 3:20.92 (195).
The rest of the Pioneers will head to Houghton tomorrow for Day 2 action at the Highland Open in the brand new Kerr-Pegula Field House.
