Pioneer Go Into Day Three In Fourth Place

Fredonia, NY- After day two the Alfred State women's swim and dive team sits in fourth place with 926 points at the Fredonia midseason meet. The Pioneers broke two school records.

Emma Merrick set a school record in the 400 IM as she finished fourth with a time of 4:56.07. The second school record that was broken was the 800 free record. The team of Madison Snayczuk, Alyssa James, Anna Ivery, and Mallory O'Keefe finished with a time of 8:03.63, which beat the record by over seven seconds.

In the 200 free, Ma. Snayczuk got the win as she touched the wall in 1:59.99, just a few seconds in front of her teammate Ivery who finished in second. In the 100 back, James claimed second place with a time of 1:01.80.

100 breast- 3rd Mikaela Snayczuk took home third in the 100 breast (1:10.81), while Orla Reilly (1:12.05) claimed fourth place. Gabriela Leite also made the A final in the 100 fly where she claimed seventh place.

The team of James, Mi. Snayzcuk, Leiti, and Ivery finished with a time of 1:50.22 in the 200 medley relay for first place.
