Pioneers Mourn the Passing of Patrick Parker

The Alfred State athletic department mourns the passing of former men's basketball player Patrick Parker. Parker was a member of the Pioneers during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 basketball seasons.

"Patrick epitomized what every coach wishes for in a player," said men's basketball coach Jerry Jusianiec. "Not only was Patrick phenomenal on the court, he was even better off the court.  His commitment to doing things the right way, his dedication to being the best person he could be and his smile were all contagious and will be missed by all that knew him.

Parker was an All-WNYAC selection in 2010-11 and a 1st team All-Region honoree in 2011-12. He finished his career with 869 points, 338 rebounds, and 195 assists. He continued his athletic and academic career at Queens College where he All-ECC and All-MET honors.
