2015: A sophomore raced to a 5th place finish on an 8K course at Houghton College with a time of 26:57. Hanss also raced to a 25th place finish at the NYS Championships. He crossed the finish line of the 8k course in 27:06.2. He was also named to the USCAA National All-Academic team
