Pioneers Have Impressive Day at Susquehanna Meet

The Alfred State Men's Track and Field team competed today at the Susquehanna Tune-Up meet. A successful day for the Pioneers brought a lot of wins, AARTFC qualifiers and new school records.

Some standouts for the Pioneers include:

Nick Florczak: Florczak competed in the 200m and finished in 4th place with a time of 23.53. Florczak finished only half a second behind the 1st place finisher. 

Shawn Rosa: Rosa also ran in the 200m and finished in 5th place with a time of 23.62. Rosa finished only nine-hundredth's of a second behind his teammate.

Esaias Brumfield: Brumfield competed in the 60m and finished in 4th place. Brumfield finished in 7.24 seconds, 3 tenths behind first place. Brumfield also ran the 200m and finished in 8th place.

Derek Walter: Walter ran the 60m hurdles and finished in 8th place with a time of 9.14 seconds.

Jesse Johnson: Johnson won the high jump event with a height of 1.91m. His jump made him a qualifier for the AARTFC's in March.

Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff: Rudewicz-Nepokroeff won the long jump event with a distance of 6.74m. His jump was good enough to be an AARTFC qualifier.

Aden Alexander: Alexander won the triple jump event with a distance of 12.78m. His jump was a tenth of a meter further than the second place finisher.

Dylan Perlino: Perlino competed in and won the weight throw by over two meters. His throw of 17.05m was also good enough for AARTFC's

James Olson: Olson also competed in the weight throw and placed 7th. His throw of 13.70m landed him 10th all time in Alfred State history.

The Pioneers are back in action on March 3 and 4 in NYC for the AARTFC event.
